Last October I stayed at the Motel Kriva Cuprija - great central location, warm, good shower, nice breakfast, my friend and I had the top two rooms under the eaves with our own little private terracve where we drank wine as the sun went down and the call to prayer echoed around the valley. Magical!

I wrote a report on Mostar. I didn%26#39;t post it here, but here%26#39;s the link anyway...

thank you so much for your feed back on Motel Kriva Cuprija ...I have looked at this place a number of times.....it certainly is centrally located, but I think the %26#39;decor%26#39; :-) was a little off putting...it sounds cute and love the idea of having a glass of wine and watching the sunset..:-)

Will read your posting on Mostar.

Did you go to Sarajevo if so where did you stay...

We are also going on to Kotor

any info is greatly appreciated

Thanks again - Liz

My boyfriend and I just got back from Mostar, and we were supposed to stay at the Motel Kriva Cuprija, but our travel dates changed and they were already booked. Yes, that hotel is in a decent location, but (at least from the outside), it is LOUD. The rushing water from the river runs right by, and I%26#39;m telling you, it is LOUD.

We ended up staying at the Villa Fortuna, and it was awesome. It is a 3-4 minute walk from Old Town, and run by a woman named Nela who, with her husband, run a travel agency and also rent out hotel-style rooms in the big house where they live. The room was immaculate, her breakfast was great, and it was really nice to be able to have them as ready resources if you needed any travel advice for the region. Both Nela and her husband are well-educated, speak very good English, and are warm and accomodating. We would recommend a stay there to any of our friends or family.

Their website is: http://www.villafortuna.ba

I just went to the site and it seems they just took down their old site to construct a new one, but their email address is listed if you%26#39;d like to contact them.

Have fun in Mostar!

Depends on your budget - went there on my honeymoon and stayed in a fantastic villa using this company. Central but not too noisy with great views of the stari most.
