I may be teaching in Mostar from Septemeber and would like to know how far it is away from Sarajevo by bus or train, dubrovnik by bus or train and any other cities that would be close enough to it?

sarajevo is ~3 hours from mostar by bus and a little bit longer by train. i believe that split and dubrovnik are both ~4 hours away by bus. i definitely recommend searching this forum for old posts regarding the travel times, too.

These were our travel times to those cities when we were there in March:
Sarajevo was 2.5 hours via train and 2.5 hours via bus, although the bus was more scenic.
Dubrovnik was about 3 hours via bus.
Split SHOULD be about 4 hours via bus, although ours took 7 hours (which I don%26#39;t think was normal).
If you do a search on the travel times, you might find, for instance, that people say the bus from Mostar to Dubrovnik takes anywhere from 3-5 hours. The variable in times people experience is due to traffic (it%26#39;s a slower journey during peak tourist season) and how long it takes to get through border control.
