Kotor - Mostar - Dubrovnik

We will be driving from Kotor to Mostar spending the night and then driving from Mostar to Dubrovnik.

Can anyone give me an idea on how long both journeys should take and which route to take etc?

Also just doing a bit of reading into this, which never occured to me before; but are we going to be able to take a hire car from Croatia, into both Montenegro and Bosnia without any problems?

No idea if you%26#39;ll have problems with a hire car but I can tell you how long each of those trips is on the bus if it%26#39;s of help. Kotor to Mostar is about 5 hours (via Dubrovnik) and Mostar to Dubrovnik is 3 hours. If you don%26#39;t want to hire a car there%26#39;s a bus direct from Kotor to Mostar in the afternoon leaving at 15.00 and a few, mainly in the morning, going from Mostar to Dubrovnik.

So will you get the car in Dubrovnik to start? And where will you return the vehicle when you are done?

Thanks for the info, we will be picking the car up in Dubrovnik, driving to Kotor and spending 5 nights there before going to Mostar for a night - then back to Dubrovnik.

We have taken a car into Mostar a couple of times and have had no problem. You might want to contact your rental company to see if it is ok to take the car for that many days into Montenegro and Herzegovina.
