Sarajevo to Dubrovnik via Mostar and Trebinje?

Hi,

In a couple of weeks I%26#39;ll be travelling around Eastern Europe. Part of my planned route is going from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik and I%26#39;m trying to decide on the best way of making this journey. Would people recommend the train / coach or driving? Are Mostar and Trebinje worth stopping off at?

How much is the coach / train (one way) from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik? How long does it take?

And how long would the drive take? Is petrol expensive along the way?

Thanks in advance!

Hello. Im doing the same trip on the 18th June. From what ive heard the train from Sarajevo to Mostar is supposed to impressive (one of the best train journeys in europe ive heard). However there are no trains from there to Dubrovnink and the latest bus leaves early early afternoon which isnt ideal if you dont wanna stay overnight in Mostar. Apparantly you can get a train from Mostar to Ploce (i think) in Croatia and then get a bus down to Dubrovnik which will take a lot longer

From Sarajevo to Mostar is few hous on the bus. Mostar is definatly must.

There is regular bus from Mostar to Dubrovnik chek

www.libertasdubrovnik.hr for timetables.

But I will sugest to stop at Trebinje.

It is worth spending half a day in this preserved Ottoman town. from atrebinje is very easy to get to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is only linked with buses, no trains at all.
