Prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

I am planning a trip to Bosnia and would like to know what the prices are like.

The only info I can find is several years old and the prices can have changed a lot.

For example, what would the following cost:

- Lunch/dinner at a restaurant

- Taxi fare 10 km

- Shopping

I am planning on doing a lot of shopping so I am mostly interested in the prices of clothes, but it would be nice with prices of other things too.

Thanks in advance,

John

I thoguht of something I want to add but I can%26#39;t change my post.

Anyways, it would be nice if you writed the prices in euro, that way it is easier for me to convert it to my local currency.

Thanks in advance,

John

Just got back yesterday from a 7 day tour of the country.

I ate a spectacular donair in the old part of Sarajevo for 1.5 Eur. We also bought a lamb and a pig and hired someone to roast it on a spit and serve a meal (including beer) for 30 guys. That came to 160 Eur.

Clothing is not much of a bargain unless you are planning to buy strange brands of questionable quality. Globabl brands are more expensive than they would be in France or the US.

Expresso is 0.5 Eur.

Be careful how much money you change - Bosnian marks are not a widely accepted currency outside of the country. Airport currency exchange booths will just laugh if you try to change marks with them.

Very good local beer in a bar is 2 for a Euro. Imported beers in a tourist zone can be as high as 3 Euro.

3 star hotel in Sarajevo is about 45 Eur.

Basic hotel accomodation in Foca is about 20 Eur.
