2 girls in backpacking in bosnia...is it safe?

Hey there,

We (2 girls) just came back from there and had no problems. We weren%26#39;t backpacking maybe like you%26#39;ll be as we already had hotels booked for our trip but everyone is friendly and helpful and we never felt unsafe. We saw quite a few backpackers there while we were travelling and I chatted to two Swedish girls who had been backpacking for a month and had had a great time. I would imagine it gets very busy in the summer, especially Montenegro and Mostar but there should be locals offering rooms at the bus stations.

Have fun!

`ello, darlings =)

Yes it is safe for anyone to travel and/or backpack true Bosna i Hercegovina, as long you two stay on marked rodes for there still might be some land mines in rural parts.

Since you %26quot;missJaga%26quot; are from Kraków, I am sure that you are familiar with Bosnian and Hercegovinian culture and language, so that will make easy for your travel.

Cheers and good luck, also make sure that you post some photos from this trip.

Everything has already been said, but I wanted to confirm it as a local girl. :-)

I also want to warn you about pickpocketing in local trams in Sarajevo. Watch your things very carefully, because people who %26quot;operate%26quot; in trams are so professional in what they do that you won%26#39;t notice you%26#39;re things are gone until it%26#39;s too late. I believe this happens only on Sarajevo trams, haven%26#39;t heard of other cases anywhere in B%26amp;H.

Have fun.
