since there is only one bus to Medjugorje and we will miss it, is there a bus to Mostar or anywhere else and we could get from there

Sorry but it is too late. There is no bus for Medjugorje or Mostar in that time so you have to spend night in Dubrovnik or you can take taxi to Medjugorje.
It cost about 150 Euro in one way.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, It looks like we will stay in Dubrovnik and enjoy what I believe is worth seeing there

Dubrovnik is definitely worth a visit and a one night stay would be a great thing!
