If you want a guided city tour in Sarajevo - be careful!
There are a lot of %26quot;wild%26quot; guides - you can encounter them in some hotels, tourists agencies and even a few tourist information centers!
Some of them advertise their services on web sites or through brochures.
How can you recognize them? They conduct tours without a Guide License, required by law. Guides must wear a license while conducting any city tour. The license must have a photo, seal of the Ministry of Economy of the the Sarajevo Canton, and include the guide%26#39;s registration number and the languages the guide speaks.
Unauthorized guides are not trained to lead tourists, and may not have correct information, or know how to tailor a tour for a specific group%26#39;s interests.
So, as TripAdvisor’s motto say: “Get the truth, then go!”
