Bus to Budva

Does anyone know if there is a direct bus connection between Sarajevo and Budva in Montenegro - preferably travelling during the daytime?

I am hoping to do a kind of Dubrovnik-Mostar-Sarajevo-Budva/Kotor-Dubrovnik circuit over a couple of weeks and so would like to avoid going back to Dubrovnik in between Sarajevo and Montenegro aswell but I am not sure if that%26#39;s possible.

Thanks alot - any advice much appreciated

There was a direct bus connection between Sarajevo and Budva (i.e. Sarajevo and Ulcinj, passing through Budva), daily at 7 p.m. However, this connection was scheduled only from 30 June till 5 September (summer season). I don%26#39;t know if the connection will be upheld in the autumn...

Another possibility is the connection via Herceg Novi: You can take a bus to Herceg Novi in Lukavica (9 a.m. - daily) and change there for Budva.

Hi there 0121:

I%26#39;m interested in doing the exact same route... How long are you planning to dedicate to that route?

My route is planned like this:

Dubrovnik-Mostar-Sarajevo-Budva-Dubrovnik

I hope that is doable... It is kind of difficult to find out information about this route though.. esp since I am trying to plan about a year in advance.

If you have any advice I%26#39;d love to hear it.

Thanks for the info Lozana - do you know roughly how long the bus takes from Sarajevo to Herceg Novi in Lukavica and then how long it would take onto Budva?

Also do you know how long it takes to bus/drive between Budva and Kotor?

TxQT - it does seem quite difficult to find out about bus connections etc, I am trying to plan this trip for next June/July so also quite far in advance.

I was hoping to do Dubrov-Mostar-Sarajevo-Budva or Kotor-Dubrov in about 2 weeks. Having been to Dubrovnik and the nearby islands etc before it will be nice to return to Dubrov (as it is lovely) but I am not planning tio spend a great deal of time there. It just seems the best place to fly to for combining Montenegro and Bosnia, especially price wise from the UK.

The only tricky bit seems to be getting from Saraj to Montenegro without going back to Dubrov in between. I also know it this part of Europe bus journeys tend to take alot longer than the distance might suggest!

I am contemplating maybe spending a week busing Dubrov-Mostar-Saraj and back to Dubrov then hiring a car to drive down to Montenegro for a week.

Just wondering if you%26#39;ve found anything further on this subject?

I am thinking of changing my itinerary to : Dubrovnik-Mostar-Sarajevo-Kotor-Dubrovnik

Do you have any information about buses/other transport from Sarajevo to Montenegro yet?

Thanks!
