When we were in Mostar 18 months ago the war scars were still very very evident. I can not answer for other places such as Sarajevo though. But Mostar is a neat place in itself, plus you get some history and all that.

Yes, there are still some signs of war in Sarajevo even though the most of infrastructure and buildings were restored long time ago. I suggest that you visit some of the places like the tunnel going underneath the airport which was used as the only link between the surrounded Sarajevo and other places in B%26amp;H.

In addition to the above, I am sure you would find other interesting places where to make some photos (not being related only to the recent war).

I just love reading about the history of this region and I was mesmerized by the damage that was still seen in Mostar and the surrounding area. I would guess it would be like that in many parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would also guess that more and more of this country will be fixed up as time goes on and more money is available.

Sarajevo has been pretty well rebuilt except for some of the older buildings that will need special restoration. What ever you do, stay on the beaten track and don%26#39;t wonder off. Ask locals for advice. Many mines are still ou there and will take many years to clear. It is a truly wonderful country with a great people.
