sarajevo to mostar

Planning a trip to bosnia and have a few questions:

Is it safe for two women early 20s to travel there?

We%26#39;re planning to go for 5 days, we land in sarajevo and want to go to mostar as well for 2 days, how much and how long is the bus or train there? is it easy to go from one place to the other?

thanks in advance

Hi there,

I%26#39;m a woman in my early 20s and i lived in Sarajevo for 4 years and absolutely had the time of my life!

I%26#39;ve travelled a fair bit and i can honestly say that i have never felt as safe anywhere else as i did in Bosnia. The locals don%26#39;t hassle tourists and are extremely welcoming and will go out of their way to help you.

You can get a bus or train from Sarajevo to Mostar. The bus is quicker and cheaper, although neither are that expensive. If i remember correctly, it takes about 3-4 hours to get there.

I love telling people about Bosnia, so if you have any other questions, please don%26#39;t hesitate to contact me - roxyellis@hotmail.co.uk

Have fun!

Hi there, the trip from Sarajevo to Mostar is very easy. There is a bus and a train. The train runs twice a day, once very early in the morning and once in the evening. The buses are more frequent and I believe that they take a bit less time, too. The bus ticket cost me around 11 KM this summer, so that%26#39;s around 8 USD. The ride is just 2 hours, and it is really beautiful as you drive out of the greenery of Sarajevo and into the Mediterranean climate of Mostar. The bus trip is very, very easy, and appeared quite safe to me, although I am a guy.

Enjoy your trip, and let us know how it goes!
