I would just like to get a feel for Sarajevo and am wondering how many days to dedicate to it? I will be there next June and will be making a trip via Mostar, originating in Dubrovnik. On the way back, I%26#39;d like to go to Kotor, Montenegro and was also wondering if there is a direct bus/train service from Sarajevo to Kotor?
Anyway, I am thinking of doing two days and one night or two nights and three days... Of course, more is always better, but I am very strapped for time - so Do you think Sarajevo is %26quot;doable%26quot; in only two days?
Also, we%26#39;d like to take a walking tour of the city, including the Tunnels. Which would you recommend?
Thanks!

Hello Texas!
Yes it is possible to do it in two nights and three days.I work as tourist guide /English/ and if you plan well it is possible. There is bus to Dubrovnik directly from Sarajevo every day I think out of season 7:15 AM only and July and August twice a day. From Dubrovnik is possible to go to Montenegro and every bus which drives to Budva or Ulcinj or Bar will stop in Kotor. If you want from Sarajevo to Kotor, there is no straight line BUT it is possible to take Sarajevo-Podgorica bus and from Podgorica to Kotor train or bus.I just called bus station and checked. My name is Valida and I wish you nice time in Balkans!

I would say that you can do Sarajevo in 2 days and 1 night but you%26#39;ll be running around nonstop. The tunnel museum is a bit outside the city (it%26#39;s right near the airport) and takes some dirt roads to get there (at least that%26#39;s how my cab driver took me). Also, there are not always cabs waiting at the museum, since it basically someone%26#39;s home, so a visit to a the Tunnel Museum can take a while. The city center, e.g. the Bascarsija and the banks of the river can be seen in a little over a half a day... so you can do a whirlwind tour of the main sights in 2 days, but I can nearly guarantee that you%26#39;ll wish you stayed longer. Sarajevo is a very interesting place, with a feel unparalleled in the rest of Europe, so I%26#39;d say if you have to skimp on your trip, spend less time on the Croatian coast and more time in Bosnia.

I just wanted to recommend a restaurant in Sarajevo where locals go, because it is not at main street, but if you take a cab, it is only few minutes away from Ferhadija. It is called Avlija (www.avlija.ba) and be sure to try ushtipke (little breads with creme) and bosnian dish called muchkalica (beef stew with vegetables). If you want to eat chevapi, a national dish, go to Zeljo, it is well known chevapi restaurant in the old city. Hope you will enjoy it. Sanela

This is for Havlat.
We need to go to Tuzla for the day and I wanted to know what would be the best way to get there.
We will have a car, but I am thinking of turning it in at the airport when we arrive from Dubrovnik.
Should we keep the car for two more days, or get a driver or rely on trains or buses?
You advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rob
