I visited Sarajevo in May 2007 for a weekend.
I was recommended to stay at %26#39;Hotel Hollywood%26#39; in Ilidza a suburb about 10mins (by transport) out of the city.
The hotel was fantastic..I was totally surprised after seeing the photos on the web site.
Stay in the new section e.g. my room was 420 it overlooked the aquatic park, views to the city, hills etc.
Room %26amp; bathroom beautifully appointed - lrg bath.
Ilidza is a beautiful quite area....fantastic lrg botanical park close by.
Breakfast not good - well it did not appeal to me.
Great restaurant nearby within walking distance of hotel %26#39;Brajlovic%26#39;-by the river.
Another great restaurant in the city is %26#39;Via del Corso%26#39;- mainly Italian.. modern decor and beautiful food...good wine list.
Also %26#39;Park Princeva%26#39; restaurant was recommended - go at dusk and watch the sunset..:-)I didn%26#39;t get there
I loved Sarajevo and am returning this Oct %26#39;08

Take note that is hotel is 30 min away from city center, Bashcharsija if you take the tram. If you have a car it will be faster, but there is always parking problems in city center.

Not quite sure what Sanela SA is saying....by taxi or by tour bus...from %26#39;Ilidza - to Old Town Sarajevo%26#39;ok say 20mins max.
But truely it is worth staying at Hotel Hollywood, the peace %26amp; quiet of the surrounding area is magic....so is the new section of the hotel.
Try it and you wont be disappointed.
