Photo Driving Licence needed in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

I am planning to drive from Split to Mostar and Sarajevo then back to Dubrovnik in October.

Currently I have an old-style paper UK driving licence, which is perfectly valid.

However, as I will be crossing borders on this road-trip, should I get it changed for a photo licence?

apparently its recommended by the automobile association to get an International drivers permit, available immediately from post offices...take a photo and I think its five pounds...or go to theaa.co.uk for info.
