Hi, I%26#39;m planning on going inter-railing around Europe this summer. I%26#39;ve done it before, so will be trying to see some new places this time. At the moment, I%26#39;m interested in going to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the places popping out are Sarajevo and Mostar. If you could only stay in one, which one do you think would be better? My instincts are saying Mostar but there are many great reviews on Sarejevo. Also, does anyone have any good ideas of how to incorporate this into an inter-rail tour?
Need to finish in France and pass Amsterdam.
Thanks.

Tough choice. I have been to Mostar and would love to go to Sarajevo. Sarajevo is a much bigger place and would have more to do for a longer period of time. Mostar is quite small, but yet very beautiful and charming. If I were to choose between the two I would say Sarajevo, or maybe I would say get to both of them if possible!

Been to both Mostar and Sarajevo many many times. Sarajevo is interesting - a big, noisy, bustling place. Many cars and buildings and some good bars if you know where to look. But Mostar is the place to go if you want a flavour of Bosnia, learn about the history, the war, see the new Stari Most bridge etc. Just hang out in some of the bars and coffee shops and watch the world go by.
